Canada’s Latest Express Entry Draw Targets Healthcare Sector

Canada’s Latest Express Entry Draw Focuses on Healthcare Professionals

The Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) continues to prioritize essential sectors in its immigration strategy. In its latest targeted Express Entry draw, the focus was on the healthcare and social services sector, offering a major opportunity for qualified professionals seeking permanent residency in Canada.

What Happened in the Latest Draw?

On 13 March 2025, IRCC invited 4,000 candidates to apply for permanent residency under the Express Entry Healthcare stream. This draw specifically targeted professionals in healthcare and social services occupations — part of Canada’s efforts to address the ongoing labor shortage in critical fields.

Minimum CRS Score Required

To be eligible for this draw, candidates needed to:

Have a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 475, and

This draw highlights the importance of early profile creation and strong CRS scores for healthcare professionals aiming to immigrate to Canada.
