Express Entry Program

The Rural Community Immigration Pilot (RCIP) is a community-driven initiative by the Government of Canada to address labour shortages and population decline in rural and remote regions. These areas contribute significantly to Canada’s economy but often face challenges in attracting and retaining skilled workers. RCIP connects qualified foreign workers with participating communities, supporting economic growth and population stability. To be eligible, applicants need a full-time, permanent job offer from a designated employer, at least one year of relevant work experience, language proficiency in English or French, and a minimum high school diploma. They must also demonstrate a genuine intent to settle and contribute to the community.

The RCIP application process includes securing a job offer, obtaining a community recommendation, and applying for permanent residency (PR) through Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). While awaiting PR approval, applicants may qualify for a temporary work permit, allowing them to integrate into the community. RCIP offers various benefits, including a clear pathway to PR, job security, lower living costs, and access to settlement services. Communities benefit by addressing labour shortages and fostering long-term development. Our team at CITRN guides applicants through every stage, ensuring a smooth transition to life in Canada’s rural regions.
